Client Name: Auckland Transport
Project Value: $2.1M
Location: Karangahape Road, Auckland City
Completion Date: July 2011

Replacement of existing 1970 bus shelters on the K’ Road Motorway Overbridge.

The design includes new safety screens and a canopy along the length of the bridge as well as new seating areas and improved lighting.

Renowned Tongan artist, Filipe Tohi, was commissioned by the K’ Road Business Association to design decals (removable transfers) for the light poles on the overbridge in time for the Rugby World Cup. K’ Road was supporting Tonga and the bridge was located on the Fan Trail. Because the decals are removable, other artists will be able to showcase their work in the future.
