Overlooking Freyberg Park and Browns Bay Bowling Club and within a walking distance from the beach, the Aria Bay retirement village project involved the construction of a 3-level facility with 57 rooms for both standard and dementia care.
Level 1 is the secured dementia floor with a podium slab courtyard which is surrounded by the building and has views of the planted bank. The fully furnished suites are designed to make living with memory loss easier and safer with shared dining/living areas and outdoor spaces to encourage interaction. Levels 2 and 3 provide standard care facilities with bedrooms, bathrooms, open plan common areas and quiet lounges. Construction also included a carpark located on the ground floor, a reception, kitchen and laundry facilities.
