Client Name: Regional Facilities Auckland
Project Value: $1.8M
Location: Auckland Zoo
Completion Date: December 2017

Auckland Zoo’s new multi-purpose exhibition space provides an immersive 1 km2 cluster of domed chambers that offer a spectacular and interactive experience for visitors. It was originally designed to house Bug Lab, a blockbuster science exhibition developed by New Zealand’s world-famous museum, Te Papa, with the Academy Award winning Weta Workshop.

The site delivery was completed over just three months. Through this time the site was cleared, redundant old buildings removed, and the exhibition space was constructed. The final month before opening was utilised by the Te Papa delivery team and local event installation specialists to install the Bug Lab Show.
